So just what the hay happened?

First, I bought an engagement ring. Pricetag: $3,720.00 from BlueNile.com. My soon to be fiance does not know about this site so I get to blog all I want without ruining the surprise. Honestly this was a long time coming. I’ve know this woman for almost 6 years now and I know for a fact that that little rock will make her happy. And me too. Seriously, I do want to get married. Seriously.

Second, the equities market got hammered this month. Both my 401K and my individual stock trading account too large hits. If anything, I am wondering if this would be the best time to throw extra money into the market. Over the long term, these valuations are quite tempting.

I’m glad this month is over. It was tough but my spending was also in line with expectations, barely.
